Hi there! My name is Michael Glass, and I have been teaching pool for over 10 years. In 2013, I decided to make it official, and with the help of Bob Jewett of the San Francisco Billiard Academy, I received my certification as a Recognized PBIA Billiards Instructor. In 2016, I added the title of ACS Level I Certified Instructor to my resume through American CueSports.
I have been playing pool almost all of my life (except when I was in the Navy — hard to install a pool table on a rocking ship!). I managed to stay away from the hustler life; I don’t believe in being dishonest in order to win money. I will, however, occasionally win a beer with the occasional bar bet!
In my “real” life, I am a web developer working for Contra Costa County in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s a great job, and necessary, as my billiards instruction doesn’t pay the bills. I don’t charge much for lessons — I do it more for a love of the game, and it helps me with my game, too!
I teach all levels of pool players, from beginner to pro, and I can help you with any aspect of your game. Need to improve your banking skills? Do you need to learn the game from the beginning, starting with the fundamentals? Are you a semi-pro trying to fix some problems with your game? Need some help perfecting a trick shot so you can win a few bar bets?
I would love to help you! Click here for lesson rates.
