Diagramming Billiards Shots

Recently, I ran across a post on reddit with a diagrammed shot done in MS Paint. He mentioned that he didn’t know of any sites or apps that help with diagramming. I would like to share two of them that I use.

Please feel free to comment with your own preferences!

For online diagrams, I like to use pool.bz. You can create diagrams for many different table types, all for free. Yes, they splash their watermark on the table, but it’s a small price to pay, in my opinion.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, then I recommend DrawShot.  It’s a fantastic app that allows you to diagram shots and post them to Facebook, Twitter, or email.  It’s a first-generation app, so I’m hoping some new features will appear in future updates.

Here is a screenshot:

I have not created either of these. I am simply letting you know that there are some cool diagramming programs out there. Please let me know in the comments if you know of any others!

A final tip… I have created a business card for my billiards instructing… and I have this on the back of the card:

PBIAbusinesscard-back

I can use it to write notes or appointment information, but best of all, I can draw on it to illustrate a shot for someone.

Special thanks to DrawShot for iOS for the screenshots.
